Tattoo Design - How to Find The Best
So, you have spent a few days on the beach and have seen some awesome tattoos. That solidified your decision to get that tattoo you have been wanting for a long, long time.
Great, now where do you find the best design for that awesome shoulder, foot, or back tattoo? Most people start by digging around online on the "free" tattoo websites. This is a good place to start, but not a good place to end. In other words, do your digging, get an idea of what you want, then, go find yourself a quality tattoo design. The "free" sites are loaded with tattoo designs, yes, but for the most part they are cookie cutter designs that are on every other site.
If you can afford it, have an artist draw your tattoo design. Sit down with the artist, tell them what you want, and work together to find the perfect tattoo. This is a little pricey, but that tattoo will be with you for a very long time, so take the time, and spend the money to do it right. A good resource for this is the University Art Schools. Just post a note on the bulletin board telling the students what you are looking for and that you are willing to pay, and you can be sure your phone will be ringing off the hook.
The other option is to go to one of the tattoo membership sites. These will cost you a few bucks, but they are loaded with artist drawn tattoo designs. They have done the work for you by gathering the best, most unique tattoo designs on the web. You will always find fresh designs on the tattoo membership sites because they pay artists to submit new designs. (Money is always a great motivator.) These sites have great tribal tattoos, flower tattoos, foot and ankle designs, wonderful intricate back tattoos, just about anything you are looking for. You can even combine any number of tattoo designs to create your unique tattoo.
You are going to spend a good deal of money on that tattoo, and it is permanent, so please choose wisely. A full one third of people who get a tattoo regret it afterwords. Don't be one of those.
So, what is the right tattoo design for you? Start by deciding what part of your body you are going to tattoo. Are you going to get a powerful shoulder tribal tattoo? How about an awesome intricate back tattoo? A small tattoo design on you foot? An angel tattoo between your shoulder blades? Here are a few questions you should ask yourself. What does this tattoo mean to me and where will I most enjoy it? Do I work in an industry that will allow tattoos that are visible? Will I really want someone's name tattooed on my neck in a few years?
Did you know that the most covered up tattoo is the name tattoo? You may think that you and (whoever) will be together forever, but life happens. It is always a better idea to find some symbol or really cool design that you both can have tattooed on yourselves. That way, if there ever is a breakup, you won't have cover-up issues.
O.K. You have decided on a spot to put the tattoo, now start the hunt for the perfect tattoo design. Follow the advice given above, and you are sure to find the perfect tattoo design and have no regrets. Take your time, find the best tattoo artist you can afford and go for it!(EzineArticles.com)
